Renaissance Marriott São Paulo

A recent trip for work took me to São Paulo Brazil. It was my first time in the country, and although São Paulo wasn’t on my wishlist, it was a paid trip to country number 43 on my list.

Our layover hotel is at the Renaissance. A higher end hotel than we usually stay in, a solid 4 stars right near the shopping financial district off of Paulista Avenue. Although the area feels safe, a few people have been robbed near here so always be vigilant. But overall, the area seemed fine.

The rooms were decent. They had everything you need. Bed was alright. Shower had good pressure. My room was on a corner so I had a long hallway into the room with views of the buildings on each side. But it was basically a smallish room with bed and chair.

This hotel also has its own gym and spa. I have to say this is the nicest gym I have seen in a hotel. The place was huge with a ton of machines.

The hotel also has its own spa. I got a massage at the spa. While the spa area lacks any wow factors, it was serviceable and clean. My massage was great.

There’s also a pool area and a healthy food cafe in the same floor. You can spend a whole day at this hotel and never leave the premises.

There’s also a bar downstairs and a Japanese restaurant and another restaurant. I had cocktails at the bar, of course a caipirinha! It was fresh made in front of me.

Overall, this hotel was nice and centrally located. I would stay here again.
