Best Western Premier Herald Square in Manhattan Review

I usually don’t spend the night in a Best Western when I’m paying. But this week in Manhattan all of my usual hotels were coming up at over $400 a night. And when I’m by myself I hate to spend a lot.

I found this hotel on Hotels Tonight App. It’s a great app to get last minute deals on hotels. Since I never know if I will get on any given flight any day, I use this app quite frequently.

This was $274 for one night in Manhattan. Ouch! Pricey but everything was sold out! Turns out it was the week of ComicCon.

Meanwhile, this hotel is on 36th and just west of 5th Avenue. So the location is convenient for Times Square and not too far from the shopping on fifth avenue.

It’s small. So be prepared. Like 250 square feet small. My room had this tilted/slanted window to make it appear bigger but it was really unusable space. Especially with the window curtains closed. The bed was hard but clean. It was a little worn but not too bad.

The bathroom was small but had all the necessities. Small sink. The shower had good pressure and was nice and hot.

This hotel also had breakfast included. It had a nice selection of fruit and cereals and pastries. There were also hot choices like eggs and bacons. It was nice to have breakfast included and it was pretty good. The dining room was small though so you had to wait for a table at peak time.

Overall, I would stay here again if I had too. There are better hotels I prefer in this price range. If this was cheaper, it wouldn’t be a bad option.
