I love Italian food and try to find a good one in every city I go to around the world. There’s good places for pizza besides New York City and Chicago!
While staying down in Union City in San Francisco, Pazzia popped up on my TripAdvisor app. I rarely have a restaurant in mind when I travel. I prefer to eat when I get hungry. And I don’t want to travel too far from my present spot. And I have ventured into too many bad restaurants. So the TripAdvisor app comes in handy. #60 out of 6,005 restaurants. Not to bad.
A twelve minute walk from my hotel, Marriott Marquis. Pazzia is located across from the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in the SoMa neighborhood. SoMa neighborhood is south of market and is a vast warehouse filled district that encompasses Mission Bay and South Beach. This area is filled with upscale dining and nightclubs. I even passed by a ping pong bar!
But anyways. The small restaurant was packed. Apparently they are expanding. But I volunteered to take a tiny table outside by the door since I was alone.
I ordered the house white wine, a burrata salad and a pizza. Everything was delicious. The mozzarella was fresh and the pizza was thin and crispy. Good sauce too. All in all, wonderful dinner and I highly recommend. But make a reservation!
